Théodore1650507829
Hey, Is there any difference between recording a guitar part with the gain knob on my audiobox a bit higher so I get a healthy recording level and then using the fader to turn it down compared to having a lower gain on my interface to begin with and just recording it where I want the part to sit in the mix from the get go? By difference I mean in regards to timber of the sound/how much static noise is being generated. Thanks
triplets
The fader in Logic is only a volume reference, like the speaker volume on your computer. It doesn't add any gain in recording. Everything is generated in your interface, even all the noise there might be.
