noise reduction plugin?

I'm transferring a vinyl recording for a friend into MP3's via Logic. Is there a plugin that comes with Logic that will enable me to do this easily? (scratches, etc.) If not is there a freeware? I know about Sound Soap, but this is a one-time event. Thanks.

There are no built-in plug-ins in Logic that specializes in scratch or other vinyl noise removal, so you'll have to search a 3rd party solution. You could try to do it in Audacity which is free, or use the free trial of Izotope RX as suggested earlier.
