SingAlong
I recorded a few seconds of singing on each of the polar patterns of my mic, and named the region after the polar patterns, and I want to join them into a single track, but afraid that only one name will be allowed for the new single track. fisherking
you can only have one name for the track, but don't 'join' the regions (to form one region), and each region will retain it's name... EDIT: why would you want differently-recorded vocals on the same track? ie giving them the same eq, etc, when they each have different characteristics? anyway, you could alternately give each one it's own track, and put them in a track stack, so you'd have both control over the individual files, and a master for all... Like Fisherking explained. If you join them into a single region then there will be only one region name. But if you keep multiple regions onto the same track then they'll retain their individual names.
SingAlong
Can you save (export) the track to a single track? Also is there a way to add bookmark-like feature in middle of the track to denote where the cardioid pattern sample starts, where hypercardioid pattern starts, etc? fisherking
as said, you can drag a bunch of regions into one track, and you'll have... one track. and you could use markers (in the timeline at top) to indicate where the changes are; you could, alternately, rename each region if needed to whatever you want. bear in mind that each region will be independent by default, ie identifiable as a 'new section'... seriously, just try it. you could even make a copy of the project and experiment with that, if you're worried about trying this out... David Nahmani
Can you save (export) the track to a single track? From one project to another? Choose File > Import > Logic Projects... Yes, markers, you can create them by choosing Navigate > Create Marker.
