apaclin2
When I import an audio file, the tempo is random – absolutely not what the actual tempo is. Why is it so?
David Nahmani
Where does the audio file come from (or how was it recorded or produced)? And how do you import the tempo exactly?
apaclin2
It's exported from a Logic session. I drag and drop it. The same result is if it's done through file -> import.
fisherking
does logic tell you the file has tempo information, and ask if you want to import it? if not, then your file has no tempo information...

Lol , and what is he importing if it doesn't have tempo information?
David Nahmani
Lol , and what is he importing if it doesn't have tempo information? It's not necessarily importing anything. It could for example be analyzing the file for transients and use their positions to determine a new tempo map. To determine where the tempo information comes from, we need to know what's happening when the file is imported: does an alert pop up? What does it state and what do you choose to do? Is Logic's smart tempo mode set to keep, or adapt... etc?
apaclin2
Yes, the alerts popped up, saying it has tempo information and then markers, I import of course. It's set to keep.
David Nahmani
Yes, the alerts popped up, saying it has tempo information and then markers, I import of course. It's set to keep. Then what Logic imports is the tempo information contained inside the file. If it's wrong, you have to consider how that tempo information ended up in that file. How was the file produced exactly? What was the tempo map of the project where the file was recorded or bounced in?

The stuff was recorded in Logic, there were audio and software instrument tracks, that were exported.

Try reimporting the audio file you exported and writing the tempo (Edit > Tempo > Write Project Tempo to Audio File).
fisherking
or change your project to the tempo that file is supposed to be set to first, and import.
