snerkler
Hi, I've imported some MIDI files that have data/events embedded in them such as volume levels for the track so whenever I adjust the volume fader it just snaps back to where it was, how do I remove all of this data/events please? I just want the notes with none of the other info.
des99
Go into one of the editors, and delete the MIDI info you want, just like you would do with any MIDI data. Probably the event editor is the most precise, but the piano roll with the controller window visible would also work and let you see the data. Or you could use the Transform window set to delete, say, CC #7 (Volume) events (or maybe *all* CC's if you don't want them, or everything except Notes) and apply that to all your regions. There are many ways to achieve this, those are three that should help...
fuzzfilth
Quickest way: - Select the Region - Open the Event List Editor - Delete the several Control Change messages upfront

I checked the events list in the main window but I don’t know how to narrow down to the events just within the region containing the imported MIDI and I don’t understand all the lists and numbers. snerkler
Figured it out thanks to your help. Selected the region, opened the events list, deselected all the options apart from controller and deleted the ones associated with volume, pan etc. Thanks for the help
