Looking to Buy Some Small Monitors

Hi all,

 

I would like to buy some small monitors - for very accurate song mixing .

Do you have any suggestions which would be best?

You're not gonna get very accurate speakers in that price range.

Your best bet is to go to a guitar center near you and listen for yourself.

Nothing beats hearing them in person with music you know.

Strongly agree. If there is any reputable music store (such as "Guitar Center") anywhere near you or within reasonable driving distance, go there to buy: a speaker, a microphone, or a musical instrument such as a keyboard or controller.

 

You need to put your hands on it, to listen to it or talk/sing into it under proper conditions, surrounded by other competitive gear which is equally available. You need to be accompanied in your decision-making by experienced but neutral people who are trained to know how to help you objectively, and who "have no skin in the game" because they are paid by salary, not commissions.

 

These things should not be ordered "online" nor from a catalog, because "you are going to become married to it." It will become the tool that you use every day.
