maninthegame0007
I imported hundreds of stems from a Pro Tools session. I have 20 mics and 19 takes per mic, so it's a total of 380 tracks. Every track has one region on it. Attached is a screenshot. For the 20 regions that all end with the take number "04_04" for example, i want to move all of them to the same timestamp. Hence, I need to select the fourth take from all 20 microphones. I can do this manually and it takes mad time. Is there a way to select all the same takes at once ? "Select equal regions" is not working for some strange reason.
David Nahmani
Try this: Select all regions (Command-A), Choose Edit > Move > To Recorded Position (Shift-Option-Command-R).
maninthegame0007
Thank you! That of course is my first move however the files do not move to the correct position. They do not end up on the right position in the song. Not sure what the engineer did in Pro Tools, but I still have to shift them to their right spot. David Nahmani
Ah, that's too bad! Ok then can you click-hold the regions one by one to check that they have the exact same positions and lengths? Do it just for a couple of regions that aren't selected when you press Shift-E to see: if they have different positions/lengths then that would explain why Shift-E is not working. Otherwise I'd consider reordering the tracks which may be faster than selecting the regions manually?
