StevenMorton
Hi. I have a track that is nearly complete, but I've noticed that in the first chorus the vocals make a pop sound and increase in volume by about 3dB. I soloed the vocals on their own, and they are fine. I soloed the vocals with the other instruments and it seems to be the drums that are causing it. I turned off all the plugins on the drums and the vocals but the pop and volume jump keep happening. I've included a link to the part of the song that it happens so you can listen to what I'm referring to. https://soundcloud.com/reasco/vendetta-vocal-crack-and-volume-jump?utm_source=clipboard&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=social_sharing Has anyone experienced this before? I'm using Logic Pro on a Macbook.
simon.a.billington
Is there anything happening in the automation or are there any tracks that may be hidden causing you these issues??
StevenMorton
There is not automation at that point and the other tracks are all muted.
David Nahmani
If you can give me access to your project (using for example wetransfer) then I'll have a look.

I just rerecorded the first line of the vocals and it fixed it. I don't know why it was happening. Very strange. I guess Logic sometimes has these gremlins. I appreciate your offer though.

While it sometimes does, I find that most of the time it can be tracked down to some kind of data that can be removed to fix the problem (such as hidden automation, or region automation, a hidden region, or some other kind of issue). In any case, good to hear you're sorted for now.
