ozkanozmen
Hi everyone! I am a rookie when it comes to writing beats via Playbeat 3. Creating different beat patterns is currently a guessing game for me. I am also not familiar with the terminology. Does anyone know, what is the method called when you type dots in bars so I can google about this deeper? Anything like an example sheet would also be very helpful. gacki
As far as I can see this is based on the typical "808" style programming. You have a number of steps per beat and each step can be either active (read: plays a sample) or not. Without going into addition details I can see that the above screenshot uses 32 steps with a resolution of 1/16; so it's two bars (assuming everything happens in 4/4). Logic itself uses similar concepts in Ultrabeat and in Pattern regions. 1
