Greg Clarke
Hello, I am a drummer recording acoustic drums thru a Tascam 16x08 interface and recording into Logic Pro X. I have kit set up front of my workstation but is a distance away from my recording setup. Is there a switch I can setup next to my hi hat pedal to hit to record, stop, replay etc. thanks
ptrickf
If you have an iPhone or iPad you could use Logic Remote https://apps.apple.com/us/app/logic-remote/id638394624 Or a wireless keyboard/or one with a long cable to use key commands or a random search on You Tube brought up this Edited October 29, 2022 by ptrickf
David Nahmani
Yes. Any MIDI Footswitch, or actually any MIDI equipment you like would do the trick. I explain how to set it up in my book - but I'm happy to explain here as well, it's a fairly simple process for most MIDI controllers: Choose Logic Pro > Key Commands > Edit, Search for, for example, "Play", Click "Learn New Assignment", Press a pedal on your MIDI Controller. Alternatively, you could also use the free Logic Remote app on an iPad for this. It gives you additional flexibility to navigate your project and locate the playhead on a specific location.
