VCA Issue

Hey guys!

I’m not sure what’s going on here.  I can create a VCA with no problem.  Group my drum channels to it and name it “drums”. All works as it should.  But when I try to put guitars or anything else on a second VCA, it just automatically assigns everything to the original and renames it from “drums” back to “VCA1”.    If I open a new blank project, create 5 empty tracks, I’m able to create multiple VCA’s and assign them any way I want.  Is something wrong in the session I’m working in with all my recorded tracks?  Setting I’m overlooking?

What Logic version are you using? There was a bug in versions before 10.7.4 (I guess) that caused a behaviour like this (if you chose an Aux track and created a new VCA fader, it made it impossible to then create more VCA faders via audio or instrument tracks). This bug is fixed in 10.7.5 however.
