Big Sur, Monterey, or stay on Catalina?

Hello all.

Been running Catalina with LPX 10.6.3 on my 2018 MBP for a good while now. Having finally gotten around to updating my 3rd party software, I am in a position to update to Big Sur or Monterey to avail of the newer versions of LPX, but I'm not ready for Ventura yet.

Just wondering if anyone is running Big Sur or Monterey on a 2018 MBP or similar and how has Logic been running on it?

Does Monterey support the latest version of Logic, or is that only supported on Ventura?

does Monterey allow me to install more recent logic updates than Big Sur?

Yes, the latest version of Logic (10.7.7) works on Monterey.

My "sand box" mac, the one I use to test apps and plugins, is a 2018 MB Pro.

It currently runs the last version of Logic (10.7.7) on Ventura but it was running it well on Monterey.

One thing I check before upgrading my OS and Logic app is the compatibility of third-party plugins. Google and company websites are helpful. But also check Sweetwater.com and search for plug-in compatibility with Logic. 

Update: I tried to find the link. I've contacted Sweetwater for help and will update this post when I get the URL.

I double-checked compatibility and decided to go for Monterey. Updated to LPX 10.7.7 also. Early days, but all good so far.
