Jondumusic
Hello, i have a brand new M2 mini mac. i m on a session with only audio yet i get overload disk alert. buffer size at its max it seems that my cpu are very fine. it s the Drive I/0 that gets 100% very fast. is it because i open my project on my external hard drive ? whet can i do? many thanks
des99
Yes, put your project on the internal SSD. If you are using an external drive, make sure it's formatted for Mac (important!), and connected via a fast interface (ie, at least USB3).
FuzzBub
I used to have this problem with traditional spinning external drives, but haven't ever since I transitioned to SSD external drives (with, as des99 says, a USB3 interface).
