Can't see all of the channel strip

Granted I'm on a laptop but shouldn't I still be able to see the entire channel strip? How do I fix this?

Right click in here and de-select some components. E.g. I don't have to see that icon because you select your track on the right in the arrangement. Suddenly you will have more space for everything.

Hmm, well I can't really right click I'm on a laptop. I think its something I can change in settings I'm just not sure where. Also this is a Logic 8 file I recently opened that could be the reason as well.

Try control + click on your touchpad. You should see now the menu. There you will see settings for that left screen channel strip. Within the mixer window you go on top to View to change these for mixer only.

De-selecting the icon component should give additional space to show all elements; however once you'd start to add a larger number of audio effects or sends it will again become an issue.

Thanks no I get what you're saying but it's not matter of deleting unwanted channel strip components. You should still be able to see all of them without having to delete them for more space.

I can add numerous audio inserts and sends and will run in trouble even on larger monitors.

You probably have already 3 inserts on another channel?

I agree, the window should be scrollable. It isn't, probably because it's very easy to inadvertently change the fader setting instead of scrolling the window, as both use the same gesture.

That being said, when using the Channel Strip in the Main Window's Inspector, on a laptop no less, there are quite a few things that should be considered luxury items. You don't *need* to have things like EQ Thumbnails or Gain Reduction Meters or Track Icons here. These might make sense in the Mixer window, but this can be scrolled (and you can't set the actual faders by 'scrolling') and is not constrained by the additional space requirements of the Region-, Track- and Group Inspectors. Hiding a few non-critical things, like I did on the right, gives you a bit more room on a small display like yours:

Also, have you thought about changing your screen resolution ?
