Main Stage stops Midi Clock when hitting start

Hi everybody, I want to sync a hardware synth to MainStage. I created a Midi Track, that sends Midi Clock to the synth with the start of the new patch. Everything works fine here. The synth syncs to the tempo of the patch. Strange thing: when I hit play in MainStage ( to create a click track for the drummer ), the Midi Clock stops, and the synth changes the tempo. Any ideas?
