NoPro
Does anyone have a copy of the driver for m-audio midi sport 2x2. it’s no longer supported on m-audio page etc I was hoping someone might still be using and has the driver mac file. Thank you
Solution Jordi Torres Posted April 18, 2023 Solution Share Posted April 18, 2023 (edited) Hi NoPro, It doesn't look M-Audio never made a 64bit version of the driver for that device, so even if you find an old version it will not run in Catalina. It might be worth it to give this 64bit open source driver a try though (latest version of this one is v1.3.1 ) M-Audio MIDISPORT USB 64-bit MIDI device driver for MacOS v10.14+ (Mojave/Catalina/Big Sur) Note: I have not tested this driver as I don't even have a m-audio midi sport 2x2, so try at your own risk. NoPro
Thank you very much … I thought so …. It’s ok I’ll find another midi work around …it’s actually for Catalina an older iMac but looks like the 64bit non support still applies …
Dynamic_Notes
@Jordi Torres wow. My 4x4 is sitting around waiting to be dumped. If I had any spare ports on my iMac Id be more tempted than I am now but this looks just a little bit past my comfort zone to try it out. Going by the info at your link, the driver has a good pedigree though.

It does give a good impression, not too many issues on Github. If I had one of those devices and still had a need for them, knowing me I would probably give it ago 😁 J.

J. I’m using this driver with Monterey. It works fine, though I’m not 100% sure I don’t have a latency issue since switching to MIDI proper (from USB, that is).
NoPro
Cool thanks …ironically I only need this old midisport for an older keyboard /synth:….it’s got midi but no usb… there’s plenty of oher solutions like midi to usb converter cables ….I also have a usb controller keyboard so it was really just a just a hey I’ve got this old 2x2 Midi sport I shoud use it or sell it etc? …not a need just well built midi device sitting around currently . Nice problem to have Lol. I also have an older Mac which has logic 7 on it and the midi -sport works well with it should I need it … I don’t need the driver for that older Mac as it’s already installed. i appreciate knowing the driver works as you say ! Amazing how far technology has come ….I’ve never really used a fragment of midi capabilities . Still trying to wrap my head around midi ….
