steinweg
I don't know if this is a question for the absolute synth expert (because i am definitely not), or if it's solution is totally simple, but i have the following problem: When you add voices of unison to an oscillator (in this case 10) and detune it (to get that "Reese" Sound), the sound starts to become incosistent. It almost sounds like someone is playing with the filter cutoff in a random way and your hear it moving in "waves", but most likely has something to do with the phase relationship of the detuned voices. I am no expert in that field so i really don't know. All i want is to have this same "wide" sound that i have now, and don't have it moving around having phases cancel each other out, because that is quite annoying. Is this just how it is, or can i do something about it, while keeping the sound? Would love any help on this! PS: Be a bit cautious with the audio volume, because i bounced it out at -2db. Solution Jordi Torres Posted May 20, 2023 Solution Share Posted May 20, 2023 Hi steinweg, 23 hours ago, steinweg said: All i want is to have this same "wide" sound that i have now, and don't have it moving around having phases cancel each other out, because that is quite annoying. Go to Global and set the Unison Range to 1, then adjust Detune (and Blend) to taste? J.
steinweg
This is EXACTLY what i wanted it to do! Never bothered to mess with the global tab myself. Now it sounds perfect, thank you SO much!!
