ChoPraTs
Hello everyone. I think there is a bug in the most recent version of Logic Pro X (10.7.7) related to the MIDI Transform tool. I have created some new custom presets in my template and deleted others that I no longer use. But now, for some reason, in the piano roll editor, when I go to "Functions" menu and than "MIDI Transform", I get a strange huge list of presets that no longer exist and that I don't know how to delete. Curiously, although they appear in that menu, they do not appear inside the tool. Does it also happen to you? Thank you!
polanoid
Can't replicate this here on my machine. Can you provide steps how to end up with these deleted transform sets?

Open MIDI Transform Window and create some custom presets. For example: New 1, New 2, New 3 and New 4. 3. Close the MIDI Transform Window, the 4 custom presets are shown correctly in "Functions" menu inside the piano roll editor. 4. Open MIDI Transform Window again and delete presets "New 1" and "New 2". In that Window, now only "New 3" and "New 4" should exist. 5. Go again to the piano roll editor, "Functions", "MIDI Transform" and there are 4 slots, 2 shown as available to create new presets and the "New 3" and "New 4" already created.
polanoid
Ah I missed the part about the Functions menu. Indeed the deleted slots show up there (but not in the menu inside the MIDI Transform window). I have no idea for a workaround, I guess you should report this bug to Apple.
polanoid
BTW saving, closing and reopening the song will remove these bogus menu entries. Edited May 23, 2023 by polanoid

I did it already, but I also posted here to see if it happens to other users. Thank you very much for your help! I hope Apple can fix it soon. 2 minutes ago, polanoid said: BTW saving, closing and reopening the song will remove these menu entries. This does not work for me. Those menu entries still there even after restart the computer, they are related to the project.

Maybe is related to the Spanish localization? Prueba.logicx.zip

Prueba.logicx.zip 210.63 kB · 0 downloads Indeed I do see those menu entries when I load your project. Strange. But yes, may be a localization issue. EDIT: Ah I see what I did differently - I deleted all user transform sets. That will remove the deleted sets from the menu. If you only delete the first two or so, they will remain Edited May 23, 2023 by polanoid
sunbrother
Does anyone know where these are stored? An XML file perhaps? I have this bug too. Not a localization issue- my DAW is in English. It persists beyond machine restarts and Logic resets. As I don't want to delete all my user transform sets, I guess I'll live with a bunch of cluttered duplicates until they fix it. They're stored within the project, in Apple's proprietary format for Logic Projects.
