Recorded audio always turns on Flex Time - how to turn this off?

Hi there,

All the audio I record defaults to turning on Flex Time,  Flexing the audio and this produces time stretching glitches.

I guess I have something turned on somewhere?  I have had a good look,  but can't see an option for this?

Hi Alex,

Do you have "Flex & Follow" set to "On" In your Region: Audio Defaults (top of the inspector when no region is selected)?

How about the Flex Mode parameter in your individual track parameters in the inspector? Is it Off before you start recording to a new track? Can you maybe post a screenshot or even better an animated GIF showing the problem as it occurs?

I don't have flex mode enabled prior to recording.  Nor was it ever enabled at the start of the session.

I wonder if there is a setting somewhere that automatically flexes any audio?

Thanks for the video! Setting Quantize to Off on your Region Audio Defaults should take care of it.

The Flex & Follow setting in the default audio region parameters actually sets that setting and vice versa.

It’s the Quantize parameter seen in Alex’s video.
