There are virtual instruments and audio files in the session.

Since you have audio files in your project we can assume their sample rate is 44.1 kHz. Before following @boneswald advice you would need to sample rate convert (SRC) those files to 96 kHz otherwise they will play faster (and sound higher in pitch) at 96kHz.

If you want you can do the SRC in Logic by selecting all audio regions then Ctrl-clicking and choosing Convert > Convert to New Audio Files then set the Sample Rate in the File conversion settings to 96kHz:

This will create new copies of the files at 96kHz and the regions in your tracks area will point to those automatically.

At this point you can change the project's sample rate in your project's audio settings.

(I would work on a *copy* of the project and assets before making these destructive changes, BTW.)

So more generative than destructive changes in this case, so he should be fine:

Of course, nothing wrong with being extra safe and making a backup first 👍

Oh yes, I know, but seeing the mess an earlier user made when converting between sample rates on the fly, and not being able to easily go back for a bunch of reasons, and having a bunch of different assets at different settings in the project that may or may not be used, I'd *personally* prefer to leave the original project and assets as they are, and work on a duplicate independent copy, where I could convert, delete, etc and keep clean without worrying about losing any source files, or being able to easily go back if there was a reason to.

That's my preference, but of course how the OP wants to do it is up to them. 👍
