rededfred2010
Hello. I know I can (and do) save Smart controls with patches but is there a way to save the default Quick Sampler with my Smart controls so when I drag an audio file into the track area and use choose Quick sampler original or optimized it loads my patch instead of the default. Thanks
David Nahmani
Not exactly, no: dragging to the bottom of the track headers does not load a patch, so you cannot get custom Smart Controls. However you can customize the Quick Sampler parameter values then from the Quick Sampler settings pop-up menu choose "Save As Default", and those parameter values will be recalled when you drag an audio file to create a Quick Sampler track. rededfred2010
Thanks David. You say it does not load a patch but Smart controls are still assigned from somewhere. Where do the default instruments get their Smart control data from?
Solution David Nahmani Posted August 23, 2023 Solution Share Posted August 23, 2023 4 minutes ago, rededfred2010 said: Where do the default instruments get their Smart control data from? When you load a software instrument plug-in it comes with its own Smart Control pane however that's not customizable. That's saved somehow internally at the factory level but we as users don't have access to that. The only way we can save custom Smart Controls is by saving a patch.
