haubanhof
Is it possible to send a stem through the preamp/insert loop on a simple audio interface, and receive the coloured stem back into Logic? There are no outputs on this audio interface as far as I can see: Neve 88M.

Yes, however in theory you're supposed to use a reamping device to match the impedance of the audio signal you're connecting to the preamp's inputs. 7 minutes ago, haubanhof said: There are no outputs on this audio interface as far as I can see The MON O/P are the outputs. I tried putting an I/O-plugin (with channel 1 as both input and output) on the track, but only hiss comes back - so I suppose this is not the correct way of doing it? haubanhof
In the olden days I would just slap the I/O-plugin on the track like this in order to tweak the stem with the hardware in realtime. Can anyone pinpoint what I am doing wrong?
haubanhof
It works! I cabled up "monitor out" with "input 1" (line) on the audio interface, and now the printed stem appears perfectly. But, how do I set this up so I only hear the stem that is being printed/tweaked in real time, and not the original stem?
