Ricky D
Hello! I'm having trouble moving/dragging/adjusting the length of the regions. When I do it it affects some of the other regions (not all but some) that aren't selected and aren't on the same track. All the sudden a lot of regions in other tracks are completely off place or shortened or extended. What is going on? Kind regards
David Nahmani
What version of Logic Pro is this? It sounds like you may be dealing with audio clones (kind of aliases for audio regions.
Ricky D
Damn you're fast! 😉 It's my wife's podcast project. Logic 10.7.9 on her pretty new MacBook Pro. Ok I never heard of audio clones.
David Nahmani
Audio clones used to be created by Shift-Option-dragging an audio region however it's no longer possible to create them in Logic Pro 10.7.9. Is it a project that was created in an earlier version perhaps? You can check the status of the regions by opening the Project Audio browser, and selecting the different regions in the Tracks area: if they all select the same region in the Project Audio browser, then they are clones. In that case, Control-click the region and choose Convert > Convert to New Regions.
Ricky D
Yes I did template for her a long time ago so the project was created in an earlier version. I'll try...
Ricky D
I tried to convert to new regions (i just selected all the regions) but the problem persists. Other unselected regions still change.
David Nahmani
Could you share your project file? For example using WeTransfer.
Solution Ricky D Posted September 12, 2023 Author Solution Share Posted September 12, 2023 Actually I kind of solved it. I copy/pasted all the regions into a new project. It will take some extra work but not that bad. The automations are missing for example. I'll do a new template as well. Thanks David!
David Nahmani
Just now, Mistadarling said: The automations are missing for example. You could try reimporting all the data from your corrupt project using File > Import > Logic Projects... then all your automation will be imported as well.
