Basically, you can start from Debussy technique,but add some elements of the Vienna School (Schoenberg) and still keep clear when you are in central tonality and when you leave it,  so it goes into this expressionist direction of B. Hermann. If i can synthesize this in one phrase ; ).

Otherwise, check out if I do the next video, about  "whole-tone scale modulation" and other things...
