jerrydpi
I have installed a 870 EVO SSD in my mid-2012 MBP (running 10.15.7), and it's fast as greased lightning now! LPX works perfectly (it doesn't stop recording/playing back anymore, and alerting me that there is too much info to be processed), and all browsers work perfectly except Google Chrome. I deleted Chrome from Applications, restarted the computer, downloaded the newest version of Chrome, but every time I try to launch it, it tries to open for about 30 seconds (I can go to History and try to open my last windows tabs, but it won't open them), but all it does is beachball spinning, and then just quits. Any ideas as to what's going on?

jerrydpi
That’s what I was afraid of 😀 I’m curious if the problem could be that the newest version of Chrome is not compatible with my older 10.15.7 OS? If so, how can I download an older version of Chrome that is compatible?
polanoid
Google's website states the latest version of Chrome is "For macOS 10.15 or later" so that doesn't seem to be the problem. Sorry, no other idea. Are there any Google Chrome user forums?
David Nahmani
I would start with the following: Fix Chrome if it crashes or won't open
jerrydpi
Hi David! I’m in bed checking my emails (I’ve been under the weather the last two days), but I’ll try them out as soon as I get better. Thanks! Jerry
