How to Enable SSL (Secure Socket Layer) On An El Capitain

Hi Loukash.  Just the  man I'm looking for.  Because I also have been working with it til now.

There's a plugin I'm using (Helix Native , vst) .  Whenever I try to load it, it says that it can't connect to their servers to authenticate me, tho I do have an internet connection.

I called them and they said, that their code connects to their server using SSL , Secure Socket Layer which I guess is for extra security or something else.  They said it's very likely the reason it's not working on my El Capitan is that , that OS doesn't support SSL, but only subsequent OS's do.

I hope that explains it better?

To my knowledge, all versions of MacOS (OS/X) do support SSL/TLS.  Although you might now be running a version that is too old to be accepted anymore.  (Crypto changes frequently.)  If you're using El Capitan to connect to this, https web site, then you are using SSL/TLS right now.

Today, it would be entirely routine for a plugin to use SSL, with digital certificates embedded and supplied by the vendor.  Just as it has quickly become routine for web-sites to use https.  Without it, you really don't know who you are talking to.
