Record Automation with region ON by default?

Hi,

Something has changed or there's is a bug with my system.

When I record audio or midi Logic is also recording volume and mute automation. Not talking about midi CC's but parameter automation.

I realized that the option to ''Record Automation with region'' is On by default on every new tracks, in empty projects and my own templates.

This is driving me nuts, having to delete unwanted mute and volume automation everytime.

 

 

 

This can't be normal? Is there a way to change this ?

I've asked and ... it's normal, and can't be changed. Definitely a weird choice IMO! 🤔

You can at least turn it off in your templates. It stays off for the channel strips that are already in the Template.

Yes and I have create a key command to turn it off. I will ask Apple for a setting to change the default state.

As a quick fix for all channels in the project, hold Option when de-selecting "Record Automation With Audio Region".  This will then apply that setting to all tracks.
