GMP24
Hi, For a multitrack session, no individual tracks clipping, the sum output channel level is in the green and sounds okay. Never goes above 0dB. If I put a plug-in meter on the output channel, it shows clipping in the red (see screenshot). Can anyone explain why this is please. If I bounce a segment and reopen in a new Logic session, again putting a plug-in meter on the output strip, the levels are consistent i.e. output strip levels are similar to the plug-in meter levels and no clipping. Can anyone help on this please? Was the signal in the session really clipping as indicated by the plug-in meter or is the channel strip meter a true level. Perhaps I'm missing what's being monitored in the two cases. Many Thanks, GMP24 Logic 10.0.7 (to be upgraded soon) OS 10.14.6 Mojave MacBook Pro 2014, 2.2GHz, 16Gb
Solution David Nahmani Posted November 26, 2023 Solution Share Posted November 26, 2023 Open your Mixer and look for the "Master" channel strip all the way to the right. Make sure its fader is set to 0 dB?
GMP24
Hi David, Actually I hadn't seen the Master fader for a while! You were right, its was set low. I set to zero and pulled all the other tracks down. Now the meters match. Good knowledge. Thanks again. GMP24
