kenrob2037
Hi All, I'm running Logc Pro X version 10.8 on an M1 Mac Mini, Sonoma 14.1.1 When I open Logic, I'm getting my default softeware instrument, a piano, play random notes when I open Logic. While this is very esoteric, it is annoying. It plays notes when I click almost anything. Such as record, play, stop or whatever. Attached is link to a short video showing you what it does. https://clipchamp.com/watch/yiYDkhVYr3n The piano sound only happens in the Logic program. No other program makes a sound when I open or use it. Any thoughts on why it would suddenly start doing this, and how to fix it? Solution rAC Posted December 2, 2023 Solution Share Posted December 2, 2023 If you don’t have it already install snoize’s MIDIMonitor so you can see if the notes are coming from somewhere outside Logic. Try also bypass all control surfaces to see if that solves it. If neither work try logging in as a new user and see if it happens there.
kenrob2037
Hi, I ran MidiMonitor, see attached. I then deleted the contol surface I set up in Logic and that fixed the problem. I had set one up for my Roland FA-08, but it seems to work fine without it, so now all good. Thanks for the advice. All the best, Rob
