Built-in Input problems

So I am fairly comfortable with the Logic Pro interface.

I want to record guitar through my line-in input. In logic pro setup assistant I chose the core audio built-in input as my driver.

When I try use an audio track, there simply is no input option. The output is stereo1-2 But under the dropdown for input, there is simply nothing.

 

How can I select to use my built in input as my input on an audio track.
