fisherking Posted February 15 Share Posted February 15 considering changing my monitors at home (eve audio sc203s w/sub); the sc203s are pretty great; usb audio in, good settings options. the sub, with these, is essential. but this is what i'm thinking about: no one i know has an audio system that can play back the deeper bass notes. they're listening on (at best) good home stereos, which still don't go low enough. one friend listens thru his tv setup, that has a sub (but also uses a terrible fake surround effect). the rest are on earbuds, bluetooth speakers, 'decent' monitors plugged into imacs... etc. so, looking at good desktop options (and considering NOT going so deep bass in my projects). it seems that the person who benefits the most from a sub is me. any thoughts? am considering, for example, the ikmultimedia precision 5s, the focal shape 50s....
