JacoBirdTrane
A colleague told me to get an audio interface and somehow AUDIO interface corrects latency when recording MIDI ! He is busy and i dont have opportunity to ask him why. this question is almost embarrassing to ask i just bought the Arturia 49 keyboard from Guitar Center OT I turned down the protection plan from GC! anyway why does an audio interface correct latency when recording midi? Thank you for your patience with this borderline stupid question. 👍

An audio interface provides audio inputs and outputs to connect them to your computer, it does not affect MIDI. Your Arturia keyboard has its own built-in MIDI interface, meaning that it can connect directly to your computer (via USB), and be used to trigger software instruments in Logic Pro. Don't worry about it, just connect your keyboard and start playing and recording, you don't need anything else. I'm not sure what he was trying to say exactly - but no, an audio interface does not "correct latency when recording MIDI". Those insurance services are losing bets, I never purchase them.
