"My Templates" page comes up unsolicited - When I'm opening an existing project.

Recommended Posts

Not all the time.  I'm in Rosetta mode.  I don't think this happened before I toggled Rosetta on.
Happens when I'm opening a project from within Logic, or when I double click a project in the Finder.

Any ideas?

PS, The only template list I use is "My Templates", so another way of describing the problem is that when I open a project, sometimes the "Open From Template" option is activated, though not by me.

As a diagnostic, you could check Settings > General > Start Up Action. Options there include "Select a Template" and "Create New Project Using Default Template."

This does not account for the inconsistency you describe, but it does remind us that Logic's opening behavior is based a preference, hence the Preferences file.

It happens to me when I try to open a damaged project or a project that isn't fully downloaded (like on Dropbox / iCloud / Google Drive).

Maybe it's that?

Hi, thanks for the suggestion.  But I don't do anything on clouds.  It's all local.

Yes, good thought.  I don't remember ever changing the default action.  It is set to "Start Up Action: Ask".
