zevo
Can you input monitor the adat inputs, or just the analog inputs? I’m not seeing anything in CueMix 5 for this. Current 828 model.
David Nahmani
You should be able to monitor any input the same way in Logic Pro using software monitoring. Are the ADAT inputs functioning in Logic Pro (can you record them)?
zevo
Thanks David. The 828 hasn't arrived yet; it arrives later today. I was merely roaming through the Cuemix 5 iPad app, which has a 'virtual 828' you can practice configuring, and I didn't see a similar option to what my Focusrite 828 has: direct monitoring, without a DAW, in standalone mode, for every input... once you configure it in the Focusrite management software... including the ADAT inputs. So what I was really looking for is: As a standalone interface, without a DAW running, can I configure the 828 to input monitor its ADAT inputs? I tend to not turn on Logic Pro (or even the computer) when working on songs these days. I use Squarp's various sequencers and hardware and outboard mixing, and only use Logic Pro for recording the audio/adding FX. David Nahmani
Oh ok sorry, I didn't realize you meant as a standalone unit. I suppose that's a question for MOTU tech support then if no one else answers and you can't figure it out on your own once you get the 828. gacki
If I recall correctly additional inputs show up in Cuemix when ADAT is enabled (at least on macOS).
