There's no need, just knowing you're using a default template (that's the wording today) explains the discrepancy in our experiences.

It's a bug that's there for some time. And it's the same with surround-formats. When you change the output to Surround angle is at -2.

Just tried the demo song "Take A Daytrip" and that sets the Binaural pan to O degree.

 

You are correct. I opened an older project that was made a few years back and with that project everything is fine. Using a new empty project it's messed up.

Out of curiosity I just tried this with a new empty project. For me it defaults to 0° with binaural/surround panner, but weirdly when I alt-click the panner in the mixer, it's default is +1 lol
