Manny_2 Posted April 22 Share Posted April 22 (edited) Hey guys, I switched from Ableton to Logic and so far, the DAW is really enjoyable. However, it frequently happens that when importing any samples, the program significantly reduces the volume (see attachment). Sometimes a kick drum suddenly has a volume of -7.9, so I have to adjust each sample using the volume function to bring it to 0. What could be causing this? This occurs with 16, 24, 32-bit samples as well as 41,000 and 48,000 Hz... EDIT/SOLUTION After disabling the Auto Leveling setting in the Apple Loops window, Logic now imports all samples without any volume changes. I have a feeling that Logic treats some samples (depending on the original export or source) as Apple Loops. I hope this helps some others...
