terock
ok... in L7, I could just alt+enter to create new track (not a copy w/ new instrument, but new track of the same instance). now in Logic Studio, I really can't find such function those plus signs only create either new track or new track w/ new instrument pls help... usability sucks because of this mystery :]
muses
That's weird: my shortcut for it came across to LStudio. Can't remember what it's called offhand, but it's in your Key Commands list... I think it's something as simple as Create Track. If you find it, reassign the Alt+Enter KC to it.

Weird that they didn't come across. I wonder if they conflict with other, newer KCs.

bjs
I think it was the intention to make it default to "new track w/new instrument"--this is one of the changes that really makes sense to me. And probably also to people migrating from other programs. I know I found it really puzzling at 1st till somebody either here or over at the Apple boards explained it. I had Logic Express 7, which didn't even give you a choice; you had to click in a certain spot to get the "new instrument (or whatever)" option. What a weird default! Didn't make any sense but after a while it was just another one of those things you got used to. Perhaps a Logic tradition...
