muses
Hey MBTD, welcome to the community. You'll need to give us a bit more info. What audio interface are you using? How is it connected to your computer? What computer? What OS? That kind of thing. It'll help in figuring out what's going on.

muses
Hmmm... Not sure what you mean by the "stock firewire interface". Are you referring to the Mac's internal audio? I also realize that you mention this happening on an Audio Instrument track, rather than an Audio track. Can you confirm this? If that's the case, it's very strange behavior. MBTD
hey muses, problem solved! fixed everything over night.... just one more concern though, i dont really have a great selection of sounds to play with, most are from garage band. Is there more instruments i can load from anywhere in the program or of the net?
muses
You can start with some free plugins, which there's a huge thread about here: http://www.logicprohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=1022&highlight=free But that's just the tip of the iceberg. There are so many you can use. Just make sure you look for Audio Units plugins. You can use some VSTs as well, but you'll need a VST to AU wrapper like the one fxpansion offers here: http://www.fxpansion.com/index.php?page=5&tab=22 The possibilities are, for all intents and purposes, unlimited. It really depends on what sounds you're looking for. You can always ask the forum if you have specific sounds in mind. Good luck with it all. chrisbrownsound
Is the 40GB of content that came with Logic not enough for you?
muses
Is the 40GB of content that came with Logic not enough for you? I'm with CBS: Definitely check out all the possibilities Logic's instruments and plugins have to offer before you start jumping to different sound possibilities. If you're very new to the program, you've probably barely scratched the surface. Logic 7 definitely has limitations, but it also offers quite a lot, depending on what kind of music you're looking to make on it.
