erfmufn
edit - dang, this is meant to be in the listening booth forum! sorry. hi guys, here is a breaks track i co-produced with my dj cousin to show him how logic works.. its 5 minutes long and i prefer the second half of the build up, but the page i'm linking to has a video with VERY adult themes so if you can't handle it, please don't click. (you have been warned) Mostly logic instruments, midi and single vocal recording. erfmufn
thanks man, just your standard vocoder in logic.. it works using sidechaining from a vocal recording into the vocoder instrument which you then use to play notes on your midi input (keyboard) to control the pitch of the vocal track. I believe the vocoder compression is an "effect" that was invented in world war 2 for the transmission of voices over long distances... (anyone know more about this?) .. but those clever ww2 engineers never thought it would be the most popular vocal effect from the 80s to 2000s for all manner of electronic music! cheers d
