drumjazz
Hi, Are there any altered/Ethnic tunings or temperaments available on Mainstage instruments, or Logic, for that matter? Didn't see anything in the index of the manual. Thanks!

simmomc
You can reach the alternate tuning window by navigating: File/Project Settings/Tuning... When you click the "fixed" radio button then click the drop down menu, you have an absolute ton of weird tunings. hope this helps
Jon Kubis
I'll post the geek answer. You CAN do altered tunings in EXS24--mainly by editing the multisample and retuning (e.g. changing the 'fine' pitch for) individual keys. Not for the faint of heart, but it can be done if you have 1 or 2 instruments you dire-ly need in nonstandard tuning. I'd love to see this functionality in Mainstage though as I really love the sound of pure major tuning for string samples in some instances... it's more colorful. drumjazz
Yes, I agree about the pure tunings. I would also like (at least) some "Eastern", "Arabic", etc, tunings (and I use those terms loosely, as there are many tuning variations) available in Mainstage. For instance, African Marimba and/or Kalimba would be even better if an "African" tuning choice were available.
