i dont know if this trick is posted i didnt find it with a search...

i dont really use many of the sampler instruments , i use mostly esx24

with 20 gig worth of extra samples & 500 gig of loops .. quite da load!

anyway....

caution - if your not a power user & dont know your way around os x

you may want to avoid this because you should understand

os x folder/hierarchies/ at the very least or you run the risk of real problems with both logic & the mac os

1-go to hd/library/app support/logic/ u do need to "get info" on the logic folder here & be signed in as admin..and switch "owner" to "user/name" & leave the "get info" window open right now till your done.

2- then create a folder in hd/library/app support/logic/ name it [ holder]for example here [or what ever u like] ..take all the sampler instruments out of the "sampler instruments" folder and move them to the new "holder" folder.

3- go back to the" get info" window you left open in step 1

switch it back to " system".& now u can close the window.haha

4- start logic it should load 50% faster...

u can add the instruments as u may need them by only moving them or what you want to use back to the "sampler instruments"folder..

there is a potential hook i realized i didnt try a sampler instrument other then the exs24 [i knew there is the refresh in the esx24 instruments menu.

i'm going to ck it now ill report back if i find issue

att- [logic pro mod's here] if i posted this in da wrong place sorry.. i'm always learning
