chopping up a sample

i wanna chop up a song into samples to be triggered by my axiom 61 keys, what process should i goto and how do i adjust setting, i.e. loop when pressed, or only play while holding down key

cheers, but my song has like 1 zero crossing, so it gives me 2 samples, pref id like 61

??? Can you be a bit more clear? The video shows how you can put different samples on your keyboard, it can be as many as you want, so you should be able to put 61 different samples on your keyboard, save it as a ESX instrument and trigger them as a loop, or single shots, it's all explained in the video!

One zero crossing? It's one wave? It must be a click? Do you expect to make 61 partial clicks?

 

Let's do some more research on what a zero crossing is. We must be missing something.

he used strip silence to divide the audio track into individual audio files. i wanna take a song audio track and chop it up into 61 samples. do i just create new audio regoins in sample editor save them and then drag to synth
