DaniGordon
He's using a Motu Ultralite. It has a pre-amp already. -------------------- Make sure you are selecting the right input in Logic. And of course, make sure you have enough input gain on the Ultralite pre-amp.

shivermetimbers
What is... are your audio preferences set to in Logic and in system preferences?
pretioza
It is in Motu Audio setup. The signal is normal .. http://www.hizliresim.com/2008/7/7/399.jpg If the db normal as you see in the pic. so why can we not see the audio wave in the logic. Do i need always gain to recordings?
shivermetimbers
Your Motu is most likely sending the signal to Logic only and things like skype are by passing the DAW. Many times the Software mixers are actually something along the lines of -12dB even though they read 0 dB in the software mixer. Most are used for headphone mixes. So in some cases, you may actually need to boost the level at the software mixer or better yet, use a GAIN plug in on the audio tracks. Set them to a comfortable level (no distortion/clipping). davidpye
Have you definitely got the correct Audio Driver and Input selected in Logic? That looks like your problem to me, but I may be wrong.

davidpye
I've read and re-read that message and I can't make any sense of it. I'm glad you got your problem sorted though.

If I understood correctly, he's saying this knob (pic below) wasn't turned all the way to the right. My 828 mkII CueMix is slightly different and don't have those knobs, so I don't know what they are. I presume they are indeed related to the hardware inputs. But if he's saying everything is all right... great. 8)
davidpye
They are the gain controls for the mic pre amps, you can save their settings with the monitor mix settings in Cuemix with the Ultralite. The controls on the front of the Ultralite also control the gain.
