How can I put effects on effects?

For instance, how can I put a flange effect only on the echoes of a vocal, without having the flange on the vocal?

 

I'm using Logic Pro 8

Use the "send" section on the vocal's channel strip to send to a bus. That will create an Aux. On that Aux, add the Delay, set the "dry" to zero and the "wet" to 100% or whatever level you want. Below the delay, add the Flanger.

 

That way the vocal channel strip only has the dry vocals, and the Aux has the flanged echoes without the original signal.
