Tarekith
Hey everyone, here's the latest in my ongoing series of music production guides, this time about arranging songs: http://tarekith.com/assets/arranging.html I've geared it towards those people who have problems going from the "I made a cool loop" stage, to taking that to a full on song. Hopefully others find it useful too though. Hope this is the right place for something like this! Enjoy!

Bowromir
Great article, really insightful and well written! I really liked some of your tips especially if you are making dance/club/remix tracks! Thank you
coleman74
Really good information. I have looked for something like this before with no luck. I really like the graph idea and prep work to keep the goal of the song in your head. Thanks!
prjkt
that's a pretty damn good guide i work in a similiar way sometimes - really useful for when i'm having trouble visualising a song, i'll just mute random sections and see how it sounds EDIT: One of the most common issues I see new producers having, is turning that 8 bar loop they made into a full-fledged song. You've spent hours crafting a funky groove, you can't stop bobbing your head to it, and all your friends assure you that it's easily the greatest sounding bit of audio (all 2.3 seconds of it) they've ever heard. So, how do you take this little bit of an idea, and turn it into something that people will want to listen to over and over again? this is me, definately me

I have been stuck with about 60 unfinished songs in the past year or so. Didn't think the writers block would last this long....
