Logic is a good slave.... after a false start!

Hi e'body,

 

I use my new MPC as a master and set Logic as slave (mpc timing is more to my likes)... BUT... Logic always starts a half-bar too late when i hit record/play on the MPC. I can play all logic instruments with the MPC pads, record midi events into Logic from the MCP all without any delay or any other problems whatsoever....

 

BUT WHY DOES LOGIC START HALF A BAR TOO LATE??

AFTER ITS LATE START LOGIC PLAYS BACK CORRECTLY... STRANGE!!!

With MTC there is always some start delay/offset for technical reasons. But it doesn't affect subsequent timing because MTC transmits explicit time data (in contrast to MIDI clock). So for safe operation just don't use the first bar.
