noelbones
Hi I'm using a 2.16GHz Inter Core 2 Duo Powerbook to run Logic8 through a M-AUDIO firewire interface. I'm trying to connect my Edirol PCR-50 midi keyboard to use in logic. I dowloaded the drivers from the Roland website and went through the process of setting the keyboard up in the 'Audio Midi SetUp'. I'm trying this with the USB lead straight into the laptop. The keyboard doesn't seem to work. I can see it register that it's there when I move the pitch bender but it wont play any of the notes when I move to an instrument... I'm hoping there's just a little box that I need to tick rather than buy a new keyboard!! Thanks in advance for your input! Cheers noel

David Nahmani
When you press a key, do you see any information in the "MIDI In" monitor in the Transport bar in Logic?
noelbones
no - nothing - the only time it shows anything is when i move the pitch bender....it starts at 64, moves up to 127 one way, then down to 0 the other... thanks
David Nahmani
OK So you got to figure out what's going on with your keyboard. If you've never used it before, then I would start with a factory reset. Probably explained in the keyboard's manual.
