danster
Just got Logic and for the life of me I can't find a way to draw midi notes instead of recording them with a midi controller. Is there a way to draw the notes and quantize etc?
mixwell
Hit ESCAPE TWICE while in Sequencer Focus. The tool bar will appear and now you can use the Pencil Tool to place MIDI notes wherever you would like in the sequence. Once the notes are placed, you can quantize them in any way you like, as Logic features the most extensive way to quantize note events. shivermetimbers
Like you do when you write out a score/sheet music?
David Nahmani
Click the Piano Roll button at the bottom to open that editor, then use the pencil as suggested (by the way you only have to hit esc once to open the toolbox).
