m3llo
How can I modify the velocity curve of a channel strip in mainstage? If I select the channel strip and change the max velocity (for example to 100 in stead of 127) in the inspector, it cuts out all the messages above that amount, when I want it not to cut out, but simple limit the velocity of the channel strip to the set amount. Is there a way i can do it? my midi controller is unable to modify its velocity curve...
CCTMusic
Hi You can modify the velocity 'curve' of your MIDI controller globally in LAYOUT mode: Select the Keyboard object, and go to the Inspector... velocity sensitivity. If you want to adjust the velocity response for one particular patch or channel strip, you may find the Channel Strip Inspector, velocity OFFSET function might do the trick... This adds or subtracts a velocity value to the incoming MIDI data: for example, if you add (+) 50, this will effectively limit the velocity range between 50 and 127 (the maximum allowed). m3llo
Thanks so much. Its doing the trick! Can i do the same within logic, have an offset that works pre recording? i.e. having the effect playing "live"
