halfshark
After shopping around it seems like Apple's memory is a little pricey. I could potentially pay about one to two hundred dollars less if I bought memory from some place other than the memory that the upgrades straight from apple. Is there any compatibility issues with other memory brands? If not is there any brands I should stay away from or would be more compatible with the Powermac? Thanks for your help in advance. David Nahmani
Yes, buy it yourself, from a reputable vendor who offers lifetime replacement. http://dealram.com
halfshark
Is there any certain brands I should stay away from or is there any brands that are better than others? I have used cosair in the past with my PC. Would that work well with the Powermac?
David Nahmani
I can only share my personal experience: I have been lucky with DMS, NewEgg, OWC Computing and unlucky with Tigerdirect. I've never purchased from the vendor you named, but if you had good experiences with them and they offer a quick way to contact them in case of problem, then go for it.
